This video is the trailer for a movie called Earth, coming out on Earth Day. It follows three different animal families (polar bears, elephants, and whales) on their journeys across the planet. Thanks to Zoltan Ladanyi on Vimeo.

Explore and sample our thousands of downloadable resources, from reading and writing to vocabulary and science.

Registration is now open! Sign up right now and receive a full schedule of our Open House events. This is a great opportunity to see what Learning A-Z has to offer, not just as a provider of supplemental resources but as a partner committed to helping your students realize their full potential.

I Love Schools

iLoveSchools.com is a free donor-matching service for education! School teachers build WishLists of equipment, material and supplies; anything they need for their classroom. Donors locate teachers through our WishList search and offer their donations of new or used items or the cost of the teacher's WishList. DonorsChose has helped several teachers here at TAEP. Maybe this will help also. Give it a try!
Thanks to Free Technology for Teachers for this tip!

America's Biggest Bedtime Story on April 14th

Thank You Mrs. Reeves for this info! "The Pizza Hut® BOOK IT!® Program will once again celebrate the love of reading with a special bedtime reading of I Got Two Dogs by John Lithgow. Mr. Lithgow himself will be reading (actually singing!) the story and it can be viewed at www.bookitprogram.com (available all day long)."

Count On

Here's another math site with many math resources. Lots to use for the interactive whiteboard. I tried out a couple of games and enjoyed Find the Dinosuars while reviewing coordinates. On-line Sudoku was great fun! I was unable to find the search engine for the site however if you go to Games you do have a brief overview of the games.

Novel Games

Here's a great site for on-line games. Some are just plain fun but some are actually educational. Check out the Math Lines game below.

Book Adventure

Mrs. Heaney has shared a wonderful resource. I'll be adding this to the PortaPortal real soon!

"Book Adventure is a FREE reading motivation program for children in grades K-8. Children create their own book lists from over 7,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read, and earn points and prizes for their literary successes. Book Adventure was created by and is maintained by Sylvan Learning."

Thanks Mrs. Heaney!!
