Grammar Practice Park

This looks like a good grammar practice site for students in Grades 3, 4 and 5. These are just sample games so if you have harcourt textbooks, I imagine you have lots of interactives!

Spark-An Evidence Based Curriculum

Spark looks like a great curriculum however it does cost money! I was pleased to see that there are free activities...free download of a lesson plan, free download of the assessment, and free video...each month. This month's activity is Twist, Turn, Bend and Stretch.

Check out the grant finder section also. Once you get to the site you can put in your state to see what is available. All target wellness and could certainly be used for the Spark curriculum.

Story Jumper

This is a great site for writing books. I spent a bit of time today writing a story for my students. I'll share it tomorrow and let the kids know they will be using this site to publish their Young Writers' stories. This should help continue the excitement of writing!

Check out the site by clicking on the title of this post. If you want to find my story, go to explore and look for The Hidden Treasure. I haven't seen a search button but I clicked around enough to find some great suggestions for building a story. Overall this is a fun and educational site!

Language Garden

I've spent just a little time this morning exploring Language Garden and I am thinking about using it with my students next week. It looks like a great review for grammar and targets parts of speech. It should also help with expanding simple sentences using adjectives and prepositional phrases. Check it out by clicking on the title of the post.
